Crossmaglen Rangers Club Notes 18/09/17

 

 

SFC Qtr Final
Cross V Clann Éireann
The Athletic Grounds in Armagh was the venue for our quarter final clash with Clann Éireann .
The Cross V Clann Éireann game was the second game of the evening in the Athletic Grounds and a wet and dismal evening left conditions very slippy .

SFC Qualifier Round 2
Cross V Wolfe Tones

Our senior team played Wolfe Tones last night in the second round of the Armagh Senior Football Championship Qualifier Round 2. A wet and windy Athletic Grounds was the venue and Cross played against a  strong breeze in the first half . Wolfe Tones had two points registered by the fifth minute . Aaron Kernan converted a free in the sixth minute to get us off the mark .

Champions

It has been a great few days for the club . Our U16’s won the Division 1 Championship Cup ,  Senior Camogie girls won the Junior Championship Cup , U10’s won the James Smith Cup at the blitz in Carrickcruppen and our U12 Camogie girls won the U12 County Championship . Four Cups in three days .

Cross V Maghery .
On Friday night , The Athletic Grounds was the setting for our second round clash of the Armagh Senior Championship .
Our opponents were County champions , Maghery .
Due to extra time in the earlier match throw in was delayed until 9.00pm.

Armagh Senior Championship Round 2

The second round of the Armagh Senior Championsip takes place this Friday (25th August).  Our seniors face Maghery as part of a double header at the Athletic Grounds, with the Senior Championship Qualifier between Annaghmore & Sarsfields taking place at 6.45pm.  Be sure to come along & show your support.

Club Notes 29/05/17

Senior ACL

Cross V Clan Éireann

It was the visitors who opened the scoring with a point in the first minute. It took a while for us to settle but once we registered our first score, a fine point by Rían O’Neill in the 9th minute we got to grips with the game.
