Our senior team are back in an Ulster Club Championship Final after beating Kilcoo 0-12 to 0-08 at Pairc Esler on Sunday.

A crowd of almost 10,000 swarmed to Pairc Esler, despite terrible weather conditions, to witness a thrilling encounter between both teams.  The teams went in level at half time, with 3 points a piece.  However, the boys hit the ground running in the second half and 5 unanswered points saw them begin to take control of the game and finish with a 4 point victory over the Down champions.  Joint manager Oisin McConville commented “We did not start very well. We owned the ball for a 20-minute spell but could not get it over the bar.  We were better in the second half and it is great to be back in this final after beating Kilcoo, a side for whom we have a healthy respect.”

We now face Scotstown of Monaghan in the final on 29 November (Venue & Time TBC).
