Schools

The club’s Schools Liaison Officer is Stephen Kernan who also manages the club’s Senior team.

Both schools in Crossmaglen, St Patricks Primary (incorporating Gael Scoil Phádraig Naofa) and St Joseph’s High School have a great GAA tradition. The links between the schools and the club have always been very strong and both schools have enjoyed considerable success over the years.

St Patrick’s Primary has a very successful track record in the prestigious McGreevy Cup competition, most recently winning the title in 2008, and St Joseph’s captured the Ulster Colleges Herald Cup in their first year in the competition in 2008.

In 2003 Gael Scoil Phádraig Naofa was established and it is now thriving with almost 100 pupils enrolled. The Gael Scoil has generated a resurgence in the Irish language and through the efforts of the outstanding staff and pupils it is making a huge contribution to the cultural richness of the area. In 2008 the Gael Scoil brought great honour and success to the school and the local community by winning the Comortas Scoil Dhramaiochta All Ireland Drama title with a play written and performed by staff and pupils.
