Crossmaglen Rangers Ladies Football Notes:

Cross Square 100 in Association with Cross Square Hotel and Superbites:
It may have been a wet morning but that did not dampen the spirits of the keen runners who completed the 100 laps to raise much needed fund for our Ladies team. A big thank you to everyone who came along and supported our event, especially our event sponsors Gerard & Geraldine McMonagle of Cross Square Hotel and Superbites takeaway.

2018 teams & training:

Senior & Minor Players: Pre-season training is up and running for our senior and minor players, but it is not too late to get involved. Whether you have taken a break, were away at university or just moved back to the area, if you would like to get involved please get in touch with Maria O’Donnell or Peter McMahon. All old and new faces are welcomed.

U16 & U14 Players:

Pre-season training starts for these age groups this week. All players interested in taking part in football this year are welcome to attend, for more information contact Paul Duffy or Frank Shields.

Gaelic for Girls!

We are delighted to announce that our club has been selected to participate in the National Gaelic for Girls initiative. This is an amazing opportunity for the club as all girls who enroll to take part will ultimately have an opportunity to take part in a National girls blitz in Croke Park at the end of June. At the minute we are looking for some parents and players (current or ex) to come on board and help us run this programme. Anyone who volunteers will be given training in their role, and will work as part of a team, so don’t panic if you think you will be left alone. If you are interested please contact Frank Shields or Marion McMahon

Crossmaglen Ladies 9th Annual Pre-Season 7s:

It’s hard to believe that this tournament is in its 9th year. Over those nine years, we have welcomed teams from all over Ireland to compete in this prestigious event which is growing in reputation and stature every year. We are delighted that our tournament received support from Stalwarts of Ulster Ladies football such as Clann Eireann, St. McCartans and of course Donamoyne. However our tournament is also very popular with the Dublin and Leinster sides and we have welcomed Foxrock Cabinteely and St. Maur’s to our town to compete. Our tournament will take place on Saturday 10th March, and we are looking for help on the day to run the tournament. Parents and players will be need to volunteer to help with pitches, in the kitchen and also the tuck shop. If you would like to help out, please contact Marion on 07730578786
