Armagh SFL Rd 14
Killeavy V Cross
Our last game in the Armagh Senior football league saw us travel to killeavy on Sunday afternoon.
We were quick off the blocks, four points one after the other in the opening five minutes to give us an early lead.
Rían slotted over two points before he scored the opening goal of the match to put us firmly in the driving seat.
Killeavy got their opening score as the first quarter was drawing to a close, two more points from the home sided followed before we did the same the opposite end of the field, three points in as many minutes. Both sides traded points and as the minutes ticked down on the clock to the break, we went on another scoring spree, 1-3 registered on the scoreboard, the goal thanks to Aaron Kernan who fisted the ball into the oppositions net to leave the score at the midway point;
Killeavy 0-04 Cross 2-13
Seconds after Kevin Faloon had thrown the ball in to get the second half underway, Killeavy had scored a point. This was to be the home-side’s best period of play, they scored another five points to reduce the deficit before we got our opening score of the half, a point from the boot of Rían in the twelfth minute.
A super score from Cían was matched seconds later by a killeavy point.
As the game entered the last quarter, Rían scored his eight point of the match.
A killeavy point was quickly followed by points from substitute Johnny McKeever (2) and Stephen Morris before Killeavy brought the scoring of the match to a close with a point as full time approached.
Killeavy 0-13 Cross 2-19
Well done lads and management.
