Senior A League

Cross V Granemore

Our first outing in the Senior league saw us face Granemore.
Two quick points in the opening minute, one a free give us an early lead.
Granemore responded with a trio of points to put them in front.
Points from Stephen Morris, Oisín O’Neill (F), and Rían O’Neill edged us in front again just before a superb strike from the boot of Rían O’Neill ended up in the Granemore net.
As the game entered the last ten minutes of the first half, two points from Oisín O’Neill put us in a commanding position.
Three points in quick succession from Granemore reduced the deficit before we got our second goal thanks to a great finish by Mel Boyce.
As the game approached half time, points from Miceal McCabe and Kyle Carragher left the score at half time;
Cross 2-09   Granemore  0-06
Cross got off to a blistering start and this was to be the pattern of the second half . A fantastic second half all round team performance meant our lead was never compromised and we ran out winners on a score line of;
Cross 4-17   Granemore  0-06
