Crossmaglen Rangers Club Notes 10/12/18

Armagh U21 Championship Replay
Tuesday night saw our U21’s play Mullaghbawn in the replay of Armagh U21 Championship.
A bitterly cold and damp Dromintee was the venue.
Mullaghbawn had two points on the board, (1F)before we registered our opening score, a Rían O’Neill point. Four points in quick succession for us followed, Miceal McCabe (2), Daniel Cunningham and a super strike from Rían to put three between the sides at the midway point.
The final minutes of the half saw the opposition score three unanswered points to level matters and as the game entered injury time, Miceal McCabe slotted the ball over  the bar to leave the bare minimum between the sides at the break;
Cross 0-6 Mullaghbawn 0-5

Johnny McKeever and Miceal McCabe (F)scored a point each at the start of the second half to bring it back to a three point game before Mullaghabawn got their first score of the half, a point.
We pushed on, scoring five points without reply and at the half way mark of the second half we had a comfortable lead but Mullaghbawn responded, scoring 1-05 in the final quarter of the match to give them the lead by the narrowest of margins. In the final seconds of the game we had opportunities to equalise the match but it wasn’t to our night. Final score;
Cross 0-13 Mullaghbawn 1-11
Hard luck lads and management
