Crossmaglen Rangers Club Notes 20/01/20

 


Registration

The first of our registration evenings takes place this Friday at 7pm in the Rangers Hall. First up is U11.5 team.  There will be a chance for Parents/Guardians to meet and speak to Mentors, Shane, Jonny, Peter, Kevin and Anthony. Anyone who wishes to pay their membership can also drop in as Peadar will also be in attendance with membership forms. As part of our ongoing health and well-being initiatives we are delighted to announce that representatives from Aware NI will be attend and  speak to our U13.5, U 15 and U 17 teams at their registration nights. Aware‘s trained volunteers provide an invaluable service to communities across Ireland and we appreciate their support for our young people.

 

 

Operation Transformation 
Week two completed of our eight week programme in conjunction with RTE’s Operation Transformation, GAA and Get Ireland Walking .
One hundred men, woman and children registered on Thursday night. Well done to  everyone to participated. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t  attend the previous two Thursdays, you can join in at any stage over the next six weeks. Everyone welcome form the community and beyond. Thursday evening, 7-9pm, top field.

Crossmaglen LGFA Notes

 
Cross Square 100 will take place on Sunday 16th Feb. We are delighted to host this community event for the 3rd year.   It is aimed at all levels of fitness, so everyone can get involved by completing at lap or more at your own pace. The square will be set up for walkers and runners from 9.30am to 2pm. Individuals or businesses can support this event by sponsoring a lap for £20, or you can make a donation on the day.
LGFA Annual Presentation Night;
The LGFA will come together with the Camogie club to celebrate our success ahead of the 2020 season. The presentation for all age groups will take place in the Rangers hall on the 31st January. Details will be available from managers in the coming week.

 

National Draw Tickets 
The GAA National Draw tickets are now on sale. There are super prizes to be won and we have added ten bonus prizes; vouchers for local businesses. Tickets cost €10 and the draw will take place on Thursday 12th March 2020.  Please support the draw as all funds raised will be retained by the club.

 

Irish classes

 

Irish beginners classes begin this Tuesday, 6.30pm-7.30pm, St Patrick’s Primary  School. Everyone welcome, club members and non club members.

 

 

 

 

Glasnevin Trip

Thanks

Thanks to Tony McKeown, Granite Marketing who donated twenty tickets to the club for ‘An Evening Of Two Halves’ which took place in the Canal Court Hotel on Thursday night. Well done to John McEntee, panellist on Thursday night and Aaron Kernan, panellist on Friday night.
Congratulations to Robbie McKevitt and Shauna Dooley who won the tickets in our online competition. Granite Marketing will host a number of similar events in the coming weeks which will feature Oisin McConville. I will post dates and venues on our social media platforms when we receive more information.

 

Good Luck

Good luck to the Armagh team and management who play Cavan in their opening game of the National league which will be played in the Athletic Grounds on Saturday evening at 7.00pm.

Armagh GAA Club Draw 2020
Tickets for the annual Armagh GAA Club draw are now on sale.
There will be four monthly draws  beginning in March. Total prize fund is over 90K. Tickets cost £100 and are available from any committee member.
