U21 Senior Championship Group B  Play Off
Mullaghbawn v Crossmaglen

Heavy rain throughout the morning left conditions very heavy and slippy in Dromintee for our U21 SFC play off clash with Mullaghbawn.
The first few minutes were an even affair with both sides scoring two points in the opening minutes, Rían the scorer of both our points.
Three unanswered points from the opposition, (2,F) give Mullaghbawn a comfortable lead. Micéal McCabe converted a free to leave two between the sides at the midway point of the first half. The second quarter of the game saw points from Oisin O’Neill and Johnny McKeever with Mulkaghbawn matching the two scores. As the half drew to a close we had a number of missed opportunities to level matters but at the break it remained a two point game;
Cross 0-5 Mullaghbawn 0-7
We started the second half very strong, four unanswered points in the first five minutes, to give us a narrow lead but Mullaghbawn   responded with a goal to put them in front once again by the narrowest of margins. Mullaghbawn pushed on, two points in as many minutes to extend their lead, a super score from Cían McConville reduced the deficit.
Mullaghbawn slotted over a point to lead by three with fifteen to go. Two points from Rían left just one separating the sides before Mullaghbawn got another point to stretch it to two with ten to go.
Rían convertered two frees to level matters and to ensure we were in for  an exciting finale.
In the dying minutes of the game, Mullaghbawn scored two points and it looked like it was to be their day. As the game entered injury time, Mullaghbawn scored another point to secure their lead and with seconds remaining a super shot from the boot of Stephen Morris landed in the Mullaghbawn net to level the game just before the final whistle blew.
Cross 1-14 Mullaghbawn 1-14
Extra time was now on the cards with conditions even worse, heavy rain and bitterly cold now very evident.
Extra time saw just one score from each side, a Miceal McCabe point in the 6th minute was quickly followed  by a Mulkaghbawn point.
The sides couldn’t be separated. We clocked up nine wides in the period of extra time.
The final whistle went and we will have to do all over again;
Cross 1-15 Mullaghbawn 1-15
