Crossmaglen Rangers Club Notes 26/06/17.

Last Friday night we hosted both the Senior and Junior league fixtures.

SFL.

Cross V St Patrick’s Cullyhanna .
Conditions were ideal in Cross for the next round of the senior football league against neighbours St Patrick’s , Cullyhanna .
It was Cullyhanna who registered the first score of the match with a point in the first minute .
Two superb Goals from Rían O’Neill and Martin Aherne in the first ten minutes helped us to take control of the match but Cullyhanna responded well with a goal in the 11th minute .
Points from Rían O’Neill , Aaron Kernan and Kyle Carragher followed before Martin Aherne got his second goal of the match .
We exchanged points with Cullyhanna just before the half time whistle.
In the opening minutes of the second half Stephen Kernan put the ball in the back of the Cullyhanna net and this set the precedent for the rest of the match .
A great second half team performance saw a number of players get their name on the scoresheet and we ran out winners , keeping our unbeaten record in the senior football league alive :
Cross 4-19 Cullyhanna 1-07 .
