SFL
Cross V Sarsfields
Our last game of the league saw us at home to Sarsfields .
A highly entertaining game on a dreary July evening which saw the visitors open the scoring in the opening minutes of the game with a point.
We settled quickly and had registered seven points before Sarsfields scored again.
In the thirteenth minute Sarsfields scored a goal and the game became more competitive with Sarsfields scoring five points in the next ten minutes but we responded well with points from Colin O’Connor (2) Stephen Morris and Kyle Carragher (2) just before the half time whistle helped us to extend our lead at the break to two.
Seannie McConville opened the scoring in the second half with a point and we pushed on with some great scores from Stephen Kernan , Stephen Morris , Kyle Carragher and Paudie Stuttard .
Just before the full time whistle , our only goal of the game came thanks to a great Johnny Hanratty shot which sealed the victory .
Cross 1-25 Sarsfields 1-13.
