Message To Members Of Cross Rangers CLG

A Chara,
Please take a moment to read the attached message from the Appointed Review Committee. They are undertaking the important work of reviewing how our club, the wider GAA, and the PSNI handled the reporting and conviction of a former member for the abuse of young people within our club and community.

As a club, we deeply value the voices of our members and the wider community. If you feel you have anything to share—whether about the personal, club, or community impact of this case—we encourage you to reach out to the review panel. Every perspective matters and will help ensure the review is balanced, respectful, and informed.

The Review Committee is committed to meeting participants in a setting that feels comfortable for them. This could be a neutral location, such as the Crowne Plaza Dundalk, or online if you prefer. All conversations will be treated with the utmost confidentiality. You may attend alone or bring someone with you for support.

The committee intends to begin meeting with people in January and has set aside a number of dates to allow flexibility around individual needs, including evening and weekend slots.

As a club, we encourage members to share this information, to anyone who may not receive this directly from the Club but would be interested in participating in this process.  This is an open review, and all voices and opinions are welcomed.

We understand that revisiting past experiences can be difficult, especially as time has passed. With this in mind, the committee will provide access to emotional support for anyone who needs it and will guide you toward appropriate resources as part of this process.

Your voice matters. Your contribution can help shape a safer, stronger community.

If anyone would like any further information on this before making contact, please do not hesitate to contact Marion (07730578786), she will endeavour to answer any questions.

Thank you for your anticipated time and support on this,

Crossmaglen Rangers GAC

Message to Members of Crossmaglen Ranges CLG

As you are aware there has been a review ongoing for some time following the conviction of a former club member for the abuse of young people in your club.
We are asking for the help of club members.
In particular, we acknowledge the terrible hurt done to those who experienced the abuse and your families. We want to give you a voice in this review and would like to hear from you but we understand many of you just may not be able to talk to us.
We know other club members and other people in the community have also been affected by the abuse, and what happened when it became public. We would also like to hear what you have to say.
We believe the GAA as an organisation can learn from this review and improve on its procedures to safeguard children and vulnerable adults and we that you can help us with that.
Anyone who makes contact with the Review Team can be assured that you will be listened to, and the fact that you helped us will remain confidential. Only the Review Team will know who spoke to us.
If you feel you have anything to offer, please contact us confidentiality at:
We would really like to hear from you. Talking to us is entirely voluntary and confidentiality is assured.
If you know anyone who may not see this message but may have something to offer, please let them know.
There is a more detailed letter attached regarding the process.
If you have any questions, please contact us at +353 (0)89 478 1585 or [email protected].
Thank you,
