Feile Semi Final

The Feile Semi Final v St Pat’s Cullyhanna will take place in St Oliver Plunkett Park Crossmaglen on Saturday 02 April 2010 at 3.30pm.

Under 6 & Under 8 Training

Ranai Óg

Training for the Under 6 and Under 8 age groups recommences on Friday 01 April 2011.  Under 6 will run from 5.30pm to 6.30pm and Under 8 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm.  Training will be in the Youth Club on the Culloville Road and all children must have indoor footwear – football boots are not required.

Feile Quarter Final Rescheduled

This weekends Feile Quarter Final versus Carrickcruppin has been rescheduled for Sunday the 27th March 2011 at 11am in St Oliver Plunkett Park Crossmaglen.

Feile Team Through to Quarter Finals

Congratulations to our U14 Feile team who comprehensively overcame Pearse Ogs on Saturday afternoon to progress to the Quarter Finals of the competition.

Rangers Retain U 21 Championship Title

Rangers captain Jamie Clarke accepts the Dean Keown U21 Championship cup from Paul McArdle Chairman of Armagh Football Board. Played in dry and bright conditions this delayed 2009 final between local rivals Cross and St Pats attracted a big crowd in Killeavey. Cross opened their account when a high ball from Darren Hughes dropped into the corner for a goal. Jamie Clarke scored the remainder of Rangers first half scores including a converted penalty after Francis Hanratty was hauled down as he went through on goal.  St Pats lived off frees converting 6 in the opening half leaving the score at half time Cross 2 – 02 St Pats 0 – 06.  Cross took control of the game in the second half and pulled away from St Pats converting  a total of 6 points, 2 from Jamie Clarke and 1 each from Francis Hanratty, Darren Hughes, Aaron Cunningham and Michael Lenaghan while St Pats added only a further 2 frees in the second period. Final score Cross 2 – 08 St Pats 0 – 08. Youth Fundraiser

The club will be bag packing in Sainsbury’s, Newry on Wednesday 29 December 2010. A meeting will be held in the Rangers Hall on Monday 27 December 2010 at 6pm to organise shifts etc. Transport will also be arranged.  This is a great opportunity to raise much needed funds for our underage teams and we will need as much help as possible on Wednesday.  Ask parents, family & friends if they can help but participants must be over 14. U21s Reach County Final

The Under 21s qualified for the Championship Final on Saturday afternoon overcoming Middletown on a scoreline of 1 – 12 to 1 – 08. Cross fielded without its senior team contingent and managed only 4 points in the first half from Michael Lenaghan, Seamus Duncan and 2 from Ryan Conlon while Middletown converted 1 – 06 in the same period – the goal coming from a penalty. At half time and trailing by 5 points Cross sent Aaron Cunningham, Danny O Callaghan and Francis Hanratty into the fray and they quickly began to turn the game in our favour. Aaron Cunningham contibuted a total of 1 – 04 with the goal coming from the second penalty of the game. Further points from Darren Hughes, Michael Lenaghan, Conor O Neill and Ryan Conlon secured victory as Middletown scored only 2 points the second half.  Rangers will meet the winners of Killeavy and Cullyhanna in the final.
