Ladies Gaelic Football Notes:

Cross Square 100 laps challenge will take place on Sunday 24th March. This event runs from 9.30am to 12.30pm.
You pick your distance (approx):
100 laps = a full marathon
50 laps = a half marathon
25 laps = 10.56km
12 laps = 5km
We are encouraging our members to Walk, Jog or Run, their preferred distance.  This is a fully inclusive event, and we will have the route safety marked out for participants to bring their scooters or prams with them.
If you would like to support this event, you can sponsor a lap for £20.  Get in touch with a LGFA committee member or senior player to sponsor a lap
Underage Ladies Gaelic Update:
The age grades have been finalised and are based on your year of birth. For 2024 Season the cut offs are:
  • U18 are girls born in 2006/07
  • U17 are girls born in 2007/08
  • U15 are girls born in 2009/10
  • U13 are girls born in 2011/12
Players can play their age group and 2 above.
Players and families are reminded to register themselves for the season ahead using the Foireann system. No player is permitted to play or train without being registered.
Training for the week ahead:
 
Our Senior Squad are out training in their joint sessions this week, which take place on Wednesday (8-9pm) and Friday (7.30-8.30pm), on the School Field. Everyone is welcome, old faces and new. 
U17 & 15 Training
All players should be aware we are training on the 3G pitch in St. Joseph’s this week. Here are the training times.
Monday 6.30pm to 7.30pm
Thursday 6.30pm to 7.30pm
U13 Training
This training is open to all girls in P7, 1st year and 2nd Year. Training takes place on Wednesday evening this week in St. Joseph’s, 7-8pm.
U11 & U9 Training
There will be no training this week or next week. We will be back training after the Easter break. We are hoping to get outside on the pitch, weather permitting.

 

Trip To Crumlin Rd Gaol

For those travelling with us on Easter Monday, payment for the trip will be collected on 26th March at 7pm in the back room. There is a few seats left. Please contact Roisin.
