We were lucky to host the Ulster Minor finals on Saturday afternoon in the club. A massive thank you to our volunteers who facilitated this fixture on the day. Special word of thank you to the grounds team who had a pitch set up and everything ready for the match.

The U15 and U17s had league fixtures last week. First up was the U17s on Monday night playing their first league match of the season against Armagh Harps. Although the girls were winning at half time, the game was neck on neck, both teams fielding 12 aside resulted in a tough contest for both sides. Game finished up 8.9 to 5.11 to Armagh Harps.

U15s played Clann Eireann on Thursday. Again a very competitive game, girls lead the whole way through the game and dominated over Clann Eireann to bring home a win of 5.13 to 4.10.

We will have a light fun session on Monday night @6pm in Pairc naNog and take the girls for a well deserved ice cream after.

U15s have a league fixture v Killeavy on Thursday in Killeavy @7pm. All support welcome.

Wishing all the girls beginning their exams this week the very best of luck!

Armagh V Grange

In the fourth round of LGFA Senior Div 1 League we met Grange, at home.
Our girls came out strong and dominated the game heavily from the outset, which resulted in a comprehensive victory. We would like to thank Aidan Short for being our ‘Sponsor a Ball’ and for all his continued support.Even after playing on Saturday night, some of the team made there way over to Ventoux Cycling Studio to support a brilliant event; ‘Battle Of The Moves’ in aid of Caolan (Stringer) Finnegan. We have another busy week of training in prep for our next league game which will see our senior team take on Killeavey. It would be great to see as many supporters as possible in Killeavey to cheer on the girls on Saturday 11th May at 7pm

Kick  A Point

A group of five friends, Brian Kelly, Eoghan Diffley, Emmet Burke, Ciaran McManus, and Conor Murphy, have embarked on an ambitious challenge. Their goal is to kick points in all 32 counties of Ireland, visiting a different club pitch in each county. The group of young men, including four members from the St Barrys GAA club (Eoghan, Emmet, Ciaran, and Conor), along with Brian Kelly from the Newtown Cashel club in Longford, have decided to take on a challenge to support Conor’s mother, Nicola. Nicola has recently received a diagnosis of Motor Neurone Disease, and the 5 young men are determined to raise funds for her. We will welcome the lads to Cross on Friday evening at 7.45pm.
