Crossmaglen Rangers Club Notes 22/12/19

2019

As a very successful, productive and busy 2019  draws to a close, we reflect on a year where we experienced success both on and off the field. A year where we were highly involved in the community, in charity work, health and well being, went off site on a number of occasions visiting Tipperary and Croke Park on a number of occasions. We starred in tv shows, received awards and accolades and we were honoured at the highest level. Joe and Aaron Kernan were part of the 2019 Bord Gáis Legends Tour at Croke Park Museum, a unique honour to have a Father and Son relive their playing days at Headquarters. Oisin McConville, an ambassador for Trocaire flew the flag for the club in far away lands.
To everyone who helped to make  it such a success, we thank each and everyone for all you assistance, co-operation and support.
To all  the Men, Women, boys and girls who donned the black and amber, we are extremely proud of you all and we wish you a very successful but above all a happy and enjoyable 2020.
We send our sincere gratitude to all our sponsors, led by main sponsor, Hanratty Oils for your generosity and support. It was wonderful to see us retain the Armagh Senior Championship sporting our new jerseys!
To our coaches, your dedication and commitment makes our club what it is and on a personal level I want to express my sincere  thanks for all their assistance but above all their patience, they worked closely with myself which ensured I could relay information/ photos quickly from matches and events to all our social media platforms.
The highlight of the year was in July when Pairc na nÓg was officially opened  by Ulster President, Oliver Galligan. Pairc na nÓg dedicated to the youth of Crossmaglen Rangers would not have come about had it not been for the hard work work and commitment of a dedicated team whose vision came to fruition in the opening of a marvellous facility where the young will flourish. Huge thanks to all those who worked so hard and made donations.
To all who fundraised, in particular our dedicated lotto team, over thirty years in existence, thank you for all your hard work every week raising much needed funds.
Huge thanks to the bingo team led by Mary Carberry.
Thanks to our golf committee, we look forward to Crossmaglen Rangers Golf Classic 2020 which will take place on the 10th July, 2020 in Concra Wood.
Thank you to our Social club committee led by Patrica and Tim. To groundsmen, Larry and Gene for all your hard work.
To our supporters and friends, thank you for your unwavering support.
As the year draws to a close, we remember all our members and friends no longer with us who who will all be remembered at the club mass which will be celebrated by Fr Kevin  Cullen on Tuesday, 4th February 2020.
We hope Santa is good to all our Rangers!
Nollaig faoi shéan agus faoi mhaise agus Athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh.
