Ladies Gaelic Football Notes

What a way to start our Division 1 league campaign with 2 games inside 5 days.
On Tuesday 9th April we played Silverbridge, in Silverbridge.

The girls dominated from the outset securing the first win of the league

Silverbridge 0-10  Cross 1-15

On Saturday 13th April we faced our second League challenge when we met Dromintee at home. The girls got off to a slow start but came back very strong in the second half, with the help of two goals from Riona McConville and Eimear McMahon, securing second win of the week.

Cross 2-7  Dromintee 1-9

We would like to thank our two Sponsor a Ball sponsors this week, James, Brinon Boyle and Family and Kevin, Deirdre Daly and Family.

We have a couple of fixtures left to be sponsored for the league,  so if anyone would like to sponsor one please get in touch.

No rest for these girls with a busy training schedule this week and our third League outing on Saturday 20th April when we travel to take on Shane O’Neills at 7pm. It would be great to see as many supporters in the stands cheering on our girls.

Congratulations

On behalf of the LGFA club, we would like to congratulate Lauren McConville, Megan O’Callaghan and the entire Armagh Ladies panel on their Division 1 league final win. It is a credit to the development of football in the county and clubs that seen the Ladies lift the Division 1 cup on Sunday past. As a club, we had our supporters out in force, with two full buses leaving the club to travel to Dublin and support our county stars. It was a great day out for our members and sure to be the first of many this season.
Here are some pictures of the Crossmaglen Supporters.
