Club Mass
There was a large attendance at our annual club mass which took place on Tuesday night. We remembered our two late Presidents, Paddy kindlon and John O’Reilly who both passed away recently, as well as all departed members and friends .
We also give thanks for a very successful 2018 and this was reflected in the presentation of the gifts. Thanks very much to our Chaplin, Fr Cullen who celebrated the mass, to Colm for the beautiful music and singing which enriched the ceremony, thanks to all who took and finally many thanks to all who attended.

Crossmaglen Ladies 10th annual Pre-season 7s: 
We are delighted to announce that our annual ladies pre-season 7s will take place on Saturday 9th March 2019.  This event has grown in popularity and prestige over the last number of years, with teams travelling from far and wide to attend, so we are anticipating another fantastic event this year.  We will have more information on this in the coming weeks.
U16s Girls 
Training resumes Saturday 16th 3.30pm.

Registration/Membership Morning
Thank you to all who attended our registration/ membership morning on Sunday, Don’t worry if you missed it, we will host another membership morning, more details to follow.
Abbey Zambia Immersion Project 2019
Huge thanks to everyone who donated jerseys. Johanne will pass on the jerseys to the Abbey CBS. Good luck and safe journey to the sixteen students and teachers who travel to Zambia to help deprived children, orphans, the disabled, the aged and struggling communities.
National Draw 
Thanks to everyone who bought tickets for the National Draw. The National Draw will take place on Thursday 6th March 2019. We have also added thirteen bonus prizes, vouchers for local businesses. Our draw for the vouchers will take place on Saturday 9th March, during the interval at St Mungo’s Luganulk.

 

 

Operation Transformation ‘Ireland Lights Up’ Week 4

 

Week four,  Operation Transformation  ‘Ireland Lights Up’  on Thursday night saw eighty walkers participating. Again, the weather wasn’t in our favour, it was cold and wet. Well done to all those who took part. Only two weeks left, it doesn’t matter if you didn’t participate before you can come along and join in. We would like a big push for the final two weeks and hopefully we will exceed previous numbers. Remember, everyone welcome, from the community and beyond, all ages and all abilities. We look forward to welcoming you all next Thursday for week five, 7pm-9pm, top field. Register on arrival and no dogs please!

St Mungo’s Luganulk

 

Tickets are now on sale for St Mungo’s Luganulk 2 “The Umpire Strikes Back” which takes place in the Rangers Hall on Saturday 9th March. Tickets cost £15. Pancake Morning

 

The morning after St Mungos entertain us in the hall we will host a yummy pancake morning. Remember to keep the 10th March free.

 

 

Advertising Signs

 

We have recently been reinstated as a County ground. We are erecting new advertising signs. If you would like to advertise your business, a sign costs £350 for three years. Armagh GAA Club Draw 

 

 

Armagh GAA will hold four monthly draws; March, April, May & June 2019.
Total prize fund over £90,000 . Tickets cost £100 and are available by pm our Facebook page or by contacting any Committee member.

 

 

 

 

 

Le Monde
On Friday night we welcomed Eric Albert, a renowned journalist with French Daily newspaper, Le Monde and Phil Hatcher-Moore, a top freelance photographer who has traveled the world capturing amazing photos.
Eric is composing an article on what Brexit means for people living in Ireland, especially those living along the border. Eric spoke with Parents and Mentors about their feelings regarding Brexit and what they think the future holds. We took him on a tour of St Oliver Plunkett Park, where he saw our seniors and camogs training. The article will be printed next week. Thanks to Eric and Phil for calling with us.

 

 

Valentines Day

 

 

We are spreading the love, Happy Valentines Day and as it falls on a Thursday, the floodlights are on for week five, Operation transformation walk. You could go for a romantic walk around the walking track!
