Operation Transformation 

 

Week three, Operation Transformation  ‘Ireland Lights Up’  on Thursday night saw seventy five walkers/runners participating in very challenging conditions; we had freezing temperatures, snow, sleet but spirits were high and the craic was ninty! Well done to all those who took part. Huge thanks to my co-pilots, Larry and Gene. Remember,  everyone welcome, from the community and beyond, all ages and all abilities. We look forward to welcoming you all next Thursday for week four, 7pm-9pm, top field. Register on arrival and no dogs please!

 

 

Club Mass 
Fr Cullen will celebrate mass on Tuesday evening  at 7.30pm in the Rangers Hall. We will remember Presidents, Paddy Kindlon & John O’Reilly and all deceased members and friends. Everyone welcome.
National Draw 
We need all National Draw tickets returned on Tuesday night. Thanks and good luck to everyone who bought tickets. All monies raised from the draw will be retained by the club. The draw will take place on Thursday 6th March 2019. We have also added four bonus prizes, a top of the range tv and three meal vouchers
Executive Meeting 
Monthly executive meeting will take place on Tuesday evening following the mass.
Pre Season Team & Parent Meetings.
U6/U8 pre season team and parent meeting took place on Wednesday evening in the hall.

Armagh V Lancashire
History was made in St Oliver Plunkett Park on Sunday when Lancashire played Armagh in the Allianz Hurling League, Division 3A.
Important information for all coaches and mentors:
Access NI vetting: Marion will be available in the Rangers Hall Monday from 7pm to 8pm to assist anyone with their Access NI vetting.  All coaches and mentors are reminded that this must be renewed every three years.  https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/campaigns/accessni-criminal-record-checks
Safeguarding training will take place on Friday 8th February, with registration between 7pm and 7.30pm.  The course will start promptly at 7.30pm.  All coaches and mentors involved with teams who have not done this training in the last three years are invited to attend. Please comfirm your attendance by contacting Marion or Tony.
Cross  Ladies Notes 
Cross Square 100 17th February: Last year the club launched this unique and fun event.  We are inviting all our members and supporters to come along on Sunday 17th February, and help us complete 100 laps of “the square”.    For those who count the kilometres 14 laps is approximately 5km, but remember this is a family event, where everyone can get involved, by walking, jogging or running a lap or two to get us to 100.
Crossmaglen Ladies 10th annual Pre-season 7s:  We are delighted to announce that our annual pre-season 7s will take place on Saturday 9th March 2019.  This event has grown in popularity and prestige over the last number of years, with teams travelling from far and wide to attend, so we are anticipating another fantastic event this year.  We will have more information on this in the coming weeks.
Registration Morning 
A registration morning will take place this Sunday morning from 9.30am- 1.00pm in the Rangers Hall. We are in the process of setting up a direct debit system, more details to follow.
Malachy Murdoch Tournament 
Six teams will participate in the 2019 Malachy Murdoch Tournament. There will be two groups and we are placed in Group B alongside Bryansford and Burren.
Each team will play the other two teams in their group;
Cross V Bryansford, Friday 1st March & Cross V Burren, Friday 15th March. The top team in each group will qualify for the final which will be played on the 29th March.
Well Done 
Well done to Patsy Finnegan who was named recently in the Gaelic Life team of the week after an outstanding all round performance with St Colman’s College, Newry against Holy Trinity, Cookstown.
Well done also to Jamie Clarke who was named in the GAA team of the week after a super performance with Armagh against Kildare.
