Armagh Senior League 1 Rd 2

Senior team sponsored by Hanratty Oils

Cross V Ballymacnab

On Friday night we welcomed Ballymacnab to a wet and dull St Oliver Plunkett Park. With some of our regulars injured, a number of young players made their senior debut. The opening quarter saw points from Mel, Dara, Rian and Stephen, with Ballymacnab registering two points. This bright start was quickly extinguished when the Nab took full control of the game at after a Jack Grugan goal quickly followed by a point triggered the start of a blistering scoring spree and this set the pattern for how the game proceeded until Kevin Falloon blew the full time whistle. Next up is Armagh Harps on Friday night.

Cross 0-7  Ballymacnab 7-9

Armagh Junior League Rd 2

Also on Friday  night, our Seconds were in action against Thomas Davis, Corrinshego. A super performance from the lads saw them play an exciting brand of attacking football with Callum Kieran scoring an impressive 1-5. The other goal coming from the boot of Oisin Doyle who also scored two points on the night. Ryan Conlon scored 4 points, 2 for Shane McConville and Franny Hanratty & 1 a piece for Patrick McEneaney, Declan Stuttard, Conor Savage and Miceal Murray. An all round team performance helped to seal the victory and and they ran out convincing winners on a score line of:

Cross 2-19 Thomas Davis, Corrinshego 0-10

Thanks to Hugh Conway for his assistance with this match.

Next up, we are away to Eire Og on Saturday 8th August.
